Glad you asked!
Please leave an approximate 8x8 space on your driveway for this roofing material drop-off. In most cases, the end of your driveway near the garage/carport (if you have one), is the most ideal spot.
What if I don't have an available driveway for roof material drop-off?
If we can't use your driveway or if a driveway does not exist, then any spot will work as long as it's as close to your home as possible. My material drop-off team is very skilled at determining an optimal spot.
But what if I want the new roof materials set in a specific spot?
If you're particular about where you want it, please mark the location with stakes or yard flags, then send us a picture so we can coordinate that with our roofing material drop-off team. No guarantees though, but we will try our best to relay this preference.

Not a problem, as long as you:
warn us about it
tell us exactly where it is
help us mark its location with stakes and/or flags

Yes. The licensed roofer will be on-site for at least 40% of the day, and present for all critical stages and inspections.
INSPECTION 1 (late morning):
after all or most of the shingles have been removed, the licensed roofer will check for rotted and/or water-damaged wood that needs to be replaced, then direct crew accordingly
licensed roofer will assess all flashing needs and devise a sealing strategy for chimneys, skylights, valleys, and pipes unique to your home’s needs, then direct crew accordingly
licensed roofer may film first round of drone footage
INSPECTION 2 (mid afternoon):
licensed roofer will ensure stick-on valley flashing, drip edge, and underlayment have been properly installed
licensed roofer will ensure sufficient ridge venting gaps are cut
INSPECTION 3 (early evening)
licensed roofer will inspect for proper shingle installation
licensed roofer will inspect all pipe boot fittings, ridge venting, caulking, and counter flashing detail
licensed roofer to film final round of drone footage

If you have a TV satellite, we recommend that you call them right away to schedule a "re-alignment" visit for a TV technician to come out 2 days after your roof install date.
Many of our customers ask their TV Provider to reposition the satellite dish to either the side wall, or in the yard somewhere.
The reason for this is that TV satellite dishes tend to cause leaky roofs, no matter how well your TV technician installs it.
TV providers typically do not charge you for moving your satellite to the side wall or yard.

Roofing materials are waterproof, but we still wrap your new roof gear in plastic, so if it rains, it's okay!
-
We may need access to your backyard, so if you have furry family members, please make sure they hang out inside your home for the duration of our roof install job tomorrow.
-
If you have a driveway, we will unfortunately need to hog up your driveway all day long :-(
A lot of debris will come flying off your roof (mostly onto a tarp below), but for the debris that misses our tarp, we'd rather it hit our vehicles and not yours, so if you can, please park on the street or in your garage on GameDay!

We will strive to be delicate with and respectful to your home!
This includes thorough clean up after the roof install is completed.
We use magnet brooms to sweep up nails from your yard and driveway.
After magnetized nail sweeping, we visually check for any nail stragglers and debris that got missed.
In spite of our best efforts, we are still human, and have been occasionally known to miss a nail or two.
If anything seems excessive or out-of-place, please reach out and we’ll promptly address any concerns!

Early! At dawn or first light. And this process is, apologetically, very LOUD!
We might even be your alarm clock that morning!
Shingle tear-off is the most grueling part of the process, so we try to beat the heat before it warms up too much (even in the winter).
Our crew will arrive well before us to begin removal of your shingles.
Please call or text 803-887-0235 if there are any concerns that morning!

Every effort will be made to not harm your flora and landscaping!
Is there sometimes collateral damage?
Old shingles thrown off your roof are heavy! We use very large tarps to help protect and divert this debris away from your flora.
This method is industry standard, and how the majority of roofers do it.
It is not a guarantee, but currently represents the most effective way to protect your flora and landscaping.

Can my new roof materials be set down on top of my grass/lawn?
Yes… the weight of the materials sitting on the palette(s) may give your lawn a little bit of “hat hair“, but should not kill off your grass.
