Myth Busting: Deductibles are Never Paid Out-of-Pocket
When it comes to replacing your storm-damaged roof, one of the biggest worries homeowners have is: “How much will this cost me out-of-pocket?”
The answer might surprise you: insurance usually covers the entire cost of your new roof.
Here’s what that means in plain English:
You don’t pay your deductible upfront. Instead, when insurance cuts you a check for the damages, they will subtract out the deductible before writing the check. That way, funds never leave your bank account!
We can finance your deductible with a zero %, super low monthly payment. State Law as well as Insurers, forbid roofing contractors from paying your deductible. This means we are required to provide you with our exterior storm restoration services for what insurance pays, before they subtract out the deductible.
Your deductible is a fixed amount, not a percentage of the roof cost. If your deductible is $1,000, that’s the maximum you’re responsible for—no matter if the roof costs $10,000 or $25,000.
Your deductible applies only once per storm incident. If you already paid it on this storm event (say, for other damage like your car, siding or gutters), you won’t pay it again for your roof.
If you’ve been holding back from filing a claim because you’re worried about coming out-of-pocket, then don’t let the deductible hold you back. I’ll walk you through your policy, the claim report, and make sure your roof is primarily funded by insurance.
